Where do we stand on the newsboy style cap?

If you didn't have an idea from my avatar, I am in fact a hat person. Have been for decades. In my case, my hat of choice is the Derby. It works well with my face.

That said, I quite enjoy a nice flat cap. I say go for it.

I just started wearing one. I only wear a hat when it is raining or snowing and I find the flat cap easy to work with and it isn't as outrageous as some of my other hat choices.

Over here at least, a hat worn by working class men that worked tough jobs like the ships and iron works. My great granda wore one and it was just something you wore, hard working hard living guys of his generation didn't wear something for fashion - it was cheap and it kept the rain off your head and sun out of your eyes.

I generally assume people think I'm pretty bald because of my consistent hat wearing. I have a thinning spot in the back, but truth is, I just freaking love hats and have been wearing them since my teens .

The funny thing is that it’s not all hats that make me assume that, but always the newsboy.

My head is too big for hats so I stopped wearing them years ago. Other than a knit hat when its cold outside, no hats for me.

My dad also has a giant head. Whenever I am down at my folks, we usually end up running into town and my mom ends up shopping for hours in stores. So for entertainment, my dad and I go to the hat section of the store and try on hats to see how ridiculous they look on us.
