What Will You Not Miss At All About HC?

Bonenut (electric blues) is a really nice guy I think. He has always been extremely nice to me
using either moniker. I think he will be a find addition to this forum should he choose to start
to post here.

For being the largest music related forum on the internet, god forbid anyone ever posted a thread about music.
I'm being perhaps a bit bitter about it but other forums referred to it as the guitar forum where nobody much played guitar.

I like the lounge here as much as anybody - I like the social interaction but at HC there were too many parody joke and goofy threads.

Oh and I won't miss the jerk who lived in florida who had the expensive pickup truck and house and trophy wife and spendy boutique amp who claimed he could outplay any name player (who never posted clips though) who thought he was hot poop and basically treated me like crap every time I posted in a thread. (haven't seen that guy around in probably five years - good riddance).

Yeah, part of it was Ian (he spent a fair amount of time in HCEG after his first permaban, as NotDead, before reverting to the stupid behavior, that finally exposed him for who he was). He was also a post whore (in less than 3 months, he had over 5000 posts). IIRC, there also seemed a bunch of young noobs showing up weekly, raising a ruckus at every opportunity. They'd last maybe 40 or 50 posts, before being banned. I don't think they were necessarily Ian. Ian's problem, was his boneheaded posts setting people off. But he wasn't rude 100% of the time. Those guys were always rude. I remember comments being made, about how the quality of the new members was going down the drain.

Honestly, I'd be shocked if Ian wasn't on this site right now. She (yep, she) has a pretty good handle on all the major sites it would seem. We actually got along pretty well, though some comments were made that were really inflammatory and out of character, I thought, even for her. Tough one to figure out, but it at least kept things interesting for a while.

If he doesn't troll like he did on HC, perhaps. What I find strange is that he basically admitted being a dick under his Electric Blues moniker, which I found really mature considering some of his posts over the years. That he turns out to be BoneNut surprises me a little, as you can imagine.

And he didn't act like a jerk to people unless their taste in music conflicted with his. You and Jkater would of course never receive any of his vitriol.
 
Wow. I think i have had a total of 3 posts over there since this place opened. :embarrassed:
 
About the only thing I liked over there was the classifieds, as I had a couple/few good deals there and preferred that to ebay, and the searchable reviews (even if you had to take them with multiple grains of salt.) I never could stand most of the rest of the forum. No offense to those that liked it or will miss parts of it.
 
I actually spend more time there now....the "Whats New" button is a bonus since I end up all over the map there. GJ isn't as fun as it used to be since most of my favorite people are here also....
 
I am very rarely over at HC anymore. I'm guessing I have maybe 50 posts there in the past year - maybe.....
