What are you listening to right now?

Just a couple of new cd's I picked up:

The new Gotthard - Firebirth, with new singer Nic Maeder (old singer Steve Lee died in a tragic roadside accident a few years back)



and Delain's new album 'We Are The Others'



Delain has really matured since their debut album (this is their 3rd). The song posted above is probably the heaviest, most female fronted goth-metal song on the album, the rest are fairly AOR/general public listening friendly for the most part, and Charlotte Wessels voice is amazing these days. Micwalt said on their debut that she sang thru her nose too much. She's had singing lessons for sure since then.

Transformation by David Sancious. It's not fair that he's an amazing keyboardist and composer but he plays RIPPING guitar all over this thing. Sky Church Hymn No. 9 would give Johnny Mac in his prime a run for his money.
 
Eric Johnson 'Up Close'. I have two front row center seats for his show next month at the Musical Instrument Museum here in Phoenix.
