I'm working on an original that's pretty cool, I was actually listening to the rough take of that, but it's not ready yet.
I have a shit time trying to get good surf-y reverbs with the gear I get. You either can't hear the verb or you can't hear the guitar.
I use the Amplitube sim of the Fender outboard reverb. It set dwell and tone to 6, mix is usually pretty low for leads, like 2.5. For palm mutey stuff you can put the mix really high, like 6 again, and it will sound like the Astronauts.
And you should go. She's playing in Lousiville on Sunday, at some festival and goes on right before Wilco. I wanted to go, but tickets are $70.
I usually only play surf stuff on gigs so I'm trying to get the sound out of a TC Hall of Fame reverb.

I bet it's another one of those Belden Brick-based reverbs (like most digital boutique reverbs). They sound too much like jumbled up slap back delays for me, in general.
