I’m gonna need something much less serious-sounding after this.

I have never fully bought into the Larry. Sure, he is a demonically good guitar player, and, well - Steely Dan, man. His solo on “Third World Man” is f-in righteous.

But I never quite got his solo output. This album has been in my collection since it came out (1987 I believe) but it has only ever been background music. Tonight at long last I am paying attention, and I like it.

It's an evocative song. Gives you a sense of living at that time.
