Walnut Hollowbody Build

I don't like headstocks that barely break away from the neck. Looks, er, weird somehow.

I got hold of a buddy with a complete wood shop. Going there tomorrow to make a truss rod channel, trim the fretboard and slice my body blank boards to width.
 
I'm kinda on hold til tomorrow morning.
My wood shop pal keeps rescheduling but we are supposed to cut tomorrow.
Need to get my fretboard cut to width and square before I cut slots. And I'm not supposed to radius sand til the slots are cut.
So tonight is bourbon instead.

Ebonized on the surface only. I used a damp rag to apply the solution so it didn't go down into the pores.

Kind of a funky rustic ebonized/distressed finish.
On this one, I've polished the oil more. You can see what a nice luster it takes on.
