Amazing how you just start cutting, dying, shaping, sanding etc....and this is gonna turn into a guitar.

I just go out and look for a guitar that someone else did all this to and buy it when I find it...

The tailpiece is perfect. I dig it. It's a piece of metal, too. Not a lightweight, but ill allow it on this one part.

And, if I want straight pull strings, here's how it lines up.

I don't know if I want it that skinny or not. Even the marauder has some spread.



Ordered four 500k pots. This is what I got.

It's actually ok. Ill take the 480 and the 385 for my P90s.
The other two are for the boy's blue tele. He wants more twang. Going up from the 250s to 360 and 355 should help.

There are some skinny ones I can handle, but the seagull I don't like for some reason.
The prs is pretty good except for that little horn on the left side.

Jello asked me to post my finish experiments. These are done with Watco Danish oil, which appears to be mineral oil based with a very small amount of some kind of varnish.
In the foreground is plain walnut.
In the back, left and right respectively, are ebonized walnut and walnut with Ace oil based wood stain, dark walnut color.

It builds very little film thickness at all. The back board has probably 8-10 coats already and I'm just beginning to see a surface.
