I think I got the wiring right for the split now. About to go test.
Replaced the 600k volume pot with a 480k. It was fairly bright and that 1 meg pot has the worst audio taper ever. It's gotta be 80/20; it's like a switch not a pot.

Anyone know anything about Schaller pickups?
It has 12 slugs in the coils. No screws.
The magnet appears to be metal, not ceramic. DC resistance reads 8.48.
 
Holy smokes, what a difference some pickup height tweaking can do. This this is sounding absolutely KILLER now!

The spacer was well worth the effort to build.
