WTF: This is the most terrifying thing I've ever read

I want to ruin this thread with loads of religious sarcasm, but I am too scared of big Mo and his ban hammer...

i'm deathly afraid of needles. i had to get a shot a few weeks ago and i completely freaked out in the doctors office. at this point, it's just embarrassing, but there seems to be little i can do about it.

Needles don't really bother me.

That said, the most painful thing I've ever experienced was when I was in the ER after the great lawn mowing mishap of 2007 when the doctor injected a nerve blocker directly into the exposed nerve of my big toe.

I mean, nearly chopping the toe off hurt like hell, but that needle was so bad it made me see stars.

Well, my wife and I have not been successful at having kids at all. I'm 48 and she's 44 and it still could happen but it's VERY unlikely - most of her thirties was spent in a period where she was so sick she could barely function and then after 3 surgeries with various body parts removed they discovered she had celiac disease it took her a long time to recover - she'd been on antibiotics for so long all the good and bad bacteria in her digestive tract was utterly laid waste. She's healthy again now but man, I wouldn't want her to go thru that again. Not real excited about having a needle jabbed in the johnson either but at this point it's unlikely anything will happen. If it did, it would be funny. But maybe not to us. I have no siblings or heirs and I'm basically the last one alive in my branch of the family so this is what we get.

There's always the chance the hot just-turned-30-something at one of my offices will want to supply me with an heir but the fabulous Mrs. Bomb wouldn't like it too much.

Says the guy who is afraid of bunny rabbits...

There's actually a really good reason for that, but it would easily be the most disturbing story ever posted here and would be way TMI.

This phobia made my time at UVic hell, btw.

Don't underestimate small creatures that have teeth and claws. Our 3 cats have started doing this thing early in the morning when they want to be fed: they run at top speed and throw themselves at our bedroom door. It's seriously scary. Those things have muscle. Any bigger and they'd be giving dogs a run for their money.

Thanks for reminding me. Not of your toe - but when they did that to me in my Docs office when I did a number on my thumb. She told me is was going to hurt and hurt a lot. She was not kidding....

:(

I love rabbits...but then again we have two small house rabbits one of which was adopted. They are not all over the place like you had up there....

Well, I don't have any fear of needles, but I had a weird dream where I was being restrained and got a super long needle full of something into my stomach, which made me pass out in my dream, and I woke up... I sure didn't like that needle, even if just a dream...

I had a horrible idea on how to sell it to america - it's Jessica Rabbit in a nurses costume getting the patient all excited and then she takes that sucker out and stabs the living crap out of his junk while laughing like a hyena the entire time.

OK, I never said it was a great concept but it might be funny to disturbed people.
