The World Cup Thread.....

I see the French refused to train today because of the Anelka incident. Wouldn't have thought they could play any worse though, training or not. cop0

Well they're going home anyway so they probably just fancied having a holiday with the rest of their time here :embarrassed:

I'm sitting with my back to it answering e-mail.

A mate just phoned asking if I was going down the rec to watch it on the big screen but I kind of fancy staying in and trying to finish off the comedy sketch I randomly decided to start writing last night.

Is it a good game?

An OK game so far, but hasn't quite "opened up" yet. The goal was ace though. :thu:

Watching Portugal vs. North Korea and wondering why Kim Jong-il isn't on the North Korean team? When he plays golf in N. Korea, he hits a hole-in-one every tee shot....I imagine that he scores a goal every time he touches the ball on a soccer field too, meaning that he is the best player in the world, ever :embarrassed:

Wow, that was the quickest back-to back goals I've seen at that level of soccer. 3 - 0 Renaldo...err, Portugal now :)
