:Wave: Man.. So i learned a crappy lesson today. Just because you have built custom PC's for 13 years, doesnt mean you won't bend the CPU pins on a motherboard. $200 mistake. Or I can send the board to Asus and they will fix it for $125 making it a $325 mistake. What did I learn? Socket 1155's are poorly designed and until they redo that, I will steer clear of Intel anything.

So, to tally the score, 2 Intel builds, both failed, and 1 Amd build that has Zero problems..... I'll taje my FX8350 over that I5 3570K all day.... "pushes up his nerd glasses"
 
I haven't had to build a pc in while, but when I do, I just call my friend who works for Intel.

Woody, congrats. 50 watts is plenty of power. Let us know if you can take it past 4.

I can. But the controls go up to 12. You can't make this stuff up.

I sold my Vox VT40+ today. Suddenly it becomes more reasonable to hold on to the Bandit. The other two remaining comb os would be the Trademark 30 - which is kind of a different deal - but small and easy to store. And the Studio Pro which is almost a throw away amp- but I like the tones - but could trade on some kind of head down the road.

Well, yesterday went off without a hitch, for the most part, but later in the day I started feeling a bit shitty - scratchy, gloppy throat, ruuny nose, etc. Thought it may have been allergies, but it's a cold. Hope it goes away quick; haven't been sick in quite awhile, and the last time was food poisoning about 18 month ago...

Tonight, the wimmins are off to their new hobby: Monday Night Bingo :facepalm:. That gives me a couple hours of me time, so I am on Blue Moon #2. I also discovered last night that the old Malibu rum we still have goes quite well with lemonade iced tea :), so methinks I may acksually get buzzed or better tonight. Maybe it'll help knock out the cold, too...
 
I'm starting to get a little buzzed, so my guess is that this thread will be hitting the limit before the night is over stirthepot

Scott - this C50 came from a S, Chicago store. They even removed the casters and packed them separately with all the screws! Gave me 4 spare power tubes too.

Amp looks great Woody.

Already have a SCXD, just haven't seen it in a while. Amp I got isn't a Fender. No tubes, all SS. ...and you know how some SS distortion sounds not good, well this amp just plain won't distort, and loud enough to kill small animals. And it's covered in rat fur.
