Muppet asked about this. This is the 3 channel JCA20 so you can channel switch between clean, rhythm and lead

Mike Soldano said that this is a revoiced JCA. The gain is also reduced to provide a cleaner tone.

I am not a fan of PRS but they do make some nice looking stuff!

I got a few shots of the pin striped Kauer Starliner.

For those who were wondering, it's definitely hand-painted.

Godin also had some pretty intense paint jobs. I wouldn't want one of these, but I do kind of like the artwork.

At first Mark and I weren't even going to bother going in to Taylor. But we got there early on Saturday, and it was one of the few spots that was open. We started playing around with their solidbodies, which as you can see looked very nice. And they played very well, too. The bodies were very resonant.

The guy at LSL Guitars was pretty wacky. He had some really fantastic guitars. This korina tele sounded really good as did the cabronita.

I didn't play one of these Toru Nittono guitars, but the did looks really sharp.

And this Trussart was pretty cool. It's got a pot leaf pickguard.

These Danelectro alligator skin-looking finishes were pretty cool, too.

The Slash sig 5-watt Marshall was great. I got some video, but the other ones on YouTube are probably better.

I got a chance to play with these JBE Pickups soapbars. They are hum cancelling p90-ish guitar pickups. He said they weren't like P100s, but I don't know much about P100s. The pickups sounded pretty good through the amp he had there. Real tight and articulate.

And I just thought this was a cool-looking bass. I don't have any info on it, except it was $9k.

We saw Pete Thorn trying out some pedals. I can't remember anything about them except they were from Greece. They sounded great, but then again they were being demoed by Pete Thorn.

We saw some cute ukes, too.

And these Firebird-ish guitars were surprising light and felt good. We couldn't tell whether the spalting was real or not, but were thinking fake.

We saw Randy trying out some amps at Bad Cat. He was pretty into it. He didn't even notice I was there.

I spent a few minutes on Sunday at the Premier Builers Guild booths and got the chance to try out this white b3. The neck and body are all one piece of wood. All the pickup switch positions sounded amazing.

And yeah, the Taylor electrics surprised me a lot. I'd never played one before NAMM and I really like them. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a used one.
