We've had a barfing 4 year old daughter all night. I'm pooped and my wife was the one who actually took care of her all night.

Be sure to tell your wife how tired you are.

So I went to see the Volvo. It had snow and ice over it- but I sat in the car with a sales guy. The thing has no aux input for a MP3 player. Goofy. I have to believe someone makes a kit for this- but I have a call into the Volvo dealer about this. Like the color, the price, and the seats - but no Aux IN? WTF

The aux in kit for my 06 GTI was quoted at $350. I said no thanks. The worst part was I was told the wiring was all there, they just needed to add the adapter.

Oh man -- stayed home last Th and Fr with the flu -- I'm only coughing sporadically now, rather than continuously, so I'm back at work. I still feel knackered, but decided I was suitable for company. I received my Les Paul Jr. Special P90 last week, but hadn't felt well enough to take any photos, so I'll hope to have an "NGD" thread later this week.

The Volvo dealer called back and said "we can't do anything with it" and gave me a number for a local shop that does after market stuff. I can't believe there is not a standard kit Volvo offers for this. It's bad enough they did not put it in a 2007 car. I did find out if the aux in is there, it is in the center console- there made be a cap over it, so could be easy to miss. I sent a message back to the dealer that has the S60 R- want them to look again. Part of me is thinking the timing is wrong on this. I will still have some commuting to do until I retire, and will get better MPG from the Altima Coupe I have now. A Volvo might be the car I get right before I retire.

BS- hope you feel better.

In Dog News: Tonight is the last training class for Sasha. It has helped her, and us. I would not be surprised if we do a follow up class. Sasha is smart and picks up training quickly.

I've had Altimas since 1999 and they've always been great. I downsized to a Versa, and that was the year that they came out with Altima Coupes. Damn, I missed out on a cool looking car. The Altima is good and Volvo does not make bad cars whatsoever. I say live out your Altima lease and keep your eyes on the Volvo prize.

And fuck you for even thinking of retiring.

Mike- my lease on the Altima Coupe is done. Up until about a week ago I thought I would buy it. Which I probably will still do. For whatever reason I have just been getting interested in Volvos. But I get around 36 mpg on the Hwy w/ the Altima - probably the smart thing is to keep it for another couple years. My only complaint on the Altima- the tires are not very good in the snow. If I keep it I will probably put P4's on it at some point.

Did you know you can buy Ken Currie at Amazon? I guess he's an author or something.

I spent enough. I'll be selling my Cort M-520, Xaviere XV-500, ***** 3010SE, red Telecaster, Gibson SG '61 RI, and an Ibanez AM-73B (w/ HSC). I have to reinstall the stock pickups in a them first. I'm replacing the Telecaster with the paisley Tele. The one I just bought will replace the others.
