Sorry to hear about this. :(

I'm a skinny guy of 35 who eats well and exercises, and I'm still recently on a beta blocker for hypertension of almost certainly hereditary origin. I was shocked that I needed to be on one. No matter what age/shape you're in, monitor your blood pressure!
 
There is a day's worth of work wasted. I was playing the pickup swap game today. I pulled the Bill Lawrence soapbars from the Les Paul and installed a set of Joe Barden soapbars. I then pulled the minis from the Midtown and installed the Lawrence soapbars in it. The Lawrence pickups sound like crap in the Midtown. They just too powerful and don't sound right. :gah:

I'll deal with it later this week. I really like the Barden soapbars but I'll put the Lawrence rails back in the Les Paul. The set of Rose minis will go in the Midtown. The BG minis will go into the Firebird. I'll sell the Barden soapbars since they have the highest resale value. It's just frustrating to have to play these games.
 
working on a couple new songs.
one for the Peekertones, one for MUNG.
PT one just needs lyrics/vocals.
MUNG one has some basic riff ideas, and chorus lyrics.
also having a 16pk of beers, so we'll see what happens :lol:

Mornin....

Element on my stove blew up couple days ago. It was as bright as the sun. unexpected purchase. I just spent money the day before on a new fridge, so got them delivered together. Saved money on delivery??? whatever.... Dang, I wanted toys, not appliances.... New stove is nice, I dont want to cook on it. so far I have boiled water on it....

Trying to learn Ubuntu and Linux... what a pain in the ass the first few weeks have been. Need to learn "LINUXCNC" software. If i get that down, that's good enough for me, then back to windows.
 
No fun. We totally need a new fridge and washing machine but have been putting it off. I told my wife that if the studio fridge died we'd buy a new one for the house and move the house fridge down to work to die though :embarrassed:
 
bought my fridge new when I bought the house a few years ago.
wish I'd picked a different one, I hate this one.
stove's nice though.

Good morning.

My fridge and stove are still working. Thankfully. I really don't want to spend money on appliances when I can put it toward gear.

I spent some more time with the Midtown and the Bill Lawrence pickups. After some amp fiddling I got them to sound good. Really, really good. They're staying in the Midtown. That means the Bardens are staying on the Les Paul. I'll put the Rose minis in my Firebird. I'll probably try to sell the BG minis.
 
I've got a question: I'm thinking about getting either a small PA or an acoustic amp with an input for an acoustic guitar and a Mic. I currently have two options that I use: A Vox Mini3 (has a mic and input for electric guitar) and an old Crate Taxi 30 (battery-powered amp w/30 watts), but I think I may want an upgrade in that department. Two options I've been weighing are one of those ZT lunchbox acoustic amps -- ostensibly 200 watts, the Carvin AG100D (three-channel amp) or a small (i.e. 4-6 channel) PA. I don't currently have a lot of space, so that's an issue (i.e. I don't want to have to store a couple of 15" speakers when I'm not using it -- which will be most of the time), so I'd welcome your opinions.
 
I'm a big fan of ZT amps. I would go with the acoustic lunchbox. They are good for low or high volume situations. They are portable. And they take all kinds of abuse. My regular ZT Lunchbox is very clean. But it takes pedals and dirties up nicely. I can't see the acoustic amp being less rugged or not being as clean.
 
I tried one of those zt's in the music store and was incredibly impressed with it. Not impressed enough to break out the plastic, but impressed.

Check out the Acoustic AG series. I have a AG60. It has 4 combo inputs for either guitar or mic and two independent channels with EQ and effects. You'll have amp and small PA all in one.
