Back to the nonsense:

Pirate walks in to a bar with a ship's wheel hanging from his belt.
Bartender says, "What's with the wheel?"
Pirate says, "Arrr, it's drivin' me nuts!"

Good morning all.

Today is going to be a long day for me. I'm busy non stop from 11 til 7. Tomorrow afternoon I'm playing a gig. Good times.

Morning.

Waiting for Comcast guy. He has another 40 minutes to be within the "window".

Leaving this afternoon to watch the AHL Wolves this evening. Then getting up tomorrow to drop daughter off in the big city and then to see Book Of Mormon. I guess if you're going to have a busy weekend, make it fun, rite?

shave & shower day today.
likely followed by beers and a trip to the post office.
though maybe not in that order.

Saw Tim McGraw at the Houston Rodeo last night. I'm not a big fan, but the rest of the family wanted to go so why not. Well, he's a hell of a good entertainer and very down to Earth. His lead guitar player had a cool old Guild S 300 like this:

The band all played directly into the board, so no amps were seen.
Overall, it was a great evening with the whole family.

Awesome looking Guild. I got my Les Paul back. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it.

Tight - sorry for your loss.

Ken - like the green strat.

Saturn - HNBAD

I got the WGS Retro 30 this week. I installed it into the Fender closed cab today. I am very happy so far. I tested it with my Super Champ XD2. It is right on the money as far as getting a nice Fender bell tone. Chimey but not brittle. The cleans are beautiful. The crunch is very nice. Does a nice job with high gain, although I think I prefer a open back cab. I want to get the cab off the ground and see how that impacts tone.

I only met him a couple of times but Ross, a very good friend of my wife passed away today. He taught junior college and had a heart attack when he was snow shoeing with some of his students. The students give CPR and he had care pretty much to the whole time. But this afternoon they determined there was no brain activity, and they made the decision to disconnect the equipment at the hospital. He was only a couple years older than Mrs. Woody and me.

NOD for me.......

New Organization Day. I hate spending money on something that isn't gear but my amps and pedals were all over the place with no room for anything so I went and bought some wire racks with big industrial casters today and organized my amp space. Now I have everything neat and with the rolling racks I can pull the equipment needed to my recording area or any place in the room when I have jams or writing sessions with the band.

My condolences, Woody.

I just hot home from my afternoon gig. We only played a 4 song set. But it was good. And loud. Dinosaur Jr. songs get that way.
