And I'm back from a successful hunting trip. At the same GC that totally let me down last night while amp shopping I found a heck of a deal on a Fernandes Gravity 4 Deluxe. I've seen it before but they marked it way down which I'm assuming was a mistake. After the transaction was finished I told the guys what these go for new and saw seriously sick looks on thier faces as the realized they pretty much gave it away. I think they thought it was a Gravity X or one of the lesser models. The Gravity Deluxe goes for about $1000 new and they had it in the used section for $229. It has a paint chip on the back about the size of a quarter. It's a clean chip with no damage to the body so should be real easy to touch up.

I can't believe how nice it plays. Not quite as nice as the Music Man I was playing last night but really up there on the scale of playability.

It is neck through with EMG active Jazz pickups, active EQ and Tusq nut. The bridge is a hefty piece of metal. It could be used as a murder weapon. I left GC with a feeling that I just stold this thing.

Lesson learned. Just because you grab a package of resistors from the bing marked 470k doesn't mean that is what you're getting. It might just end up being 470 Ohms.

Saturn - HNBD. Anything else you are looking for? I got too much of most everything.

I think I have officially run out of space. I just put up another wall hanger for the new bass in the last available spot on the wall. I have no idea where I'm going to put the new amp when it shows up and I don't have nearly as much gear as some people here.

I did not need the other 1x12 cab. But now can have one upstairs, and one down in the music room. If Mrs Woody puts her foot down, I can stack them. I probably will end up selling one of my combos - but not the Laney, or the Trademark or the Kustom HV30.

Good evening. I had a long day. I'm exhausted. I'm staying in and resting tonight.

I'm watching Styx do The Grand Illusion front to back on Palladium right now. I gotta tell ya, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Also, James young is a good guitarist, but he's a weirdo. Lol. His facial expressions are just odd.

Sos, my son made me one proud dad last night. We had the misfortune of needing to shop at the local walmart, and he wanted to find a good "rock music" cd. We go over and look through CD's and he comes over from the $5 bargain bin holding 2 and asking which is the better "rock music" cd. He has in one hand Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever, and KISS the Millenium Collection... He ended up with 2 new good rock CD's.
(He's 10, but has autism, so he's one a 6year old's level. So him picking those CD's was not just a wow moment for me, but after he started listening and playing along, he made me get out my guitar, we spent the rest of the night going over a few simpler chords and strumming patterns. :) )

AP, great father/son story.

Spent the day with my lady friend.........yes we're still hanging out some.

Evenin...... Just finished up work for the day... really looking forward to putting together a Surf guitar. Its my old school bread and butter music that I used to play. I've been in such a White Snake, Motley Crue mood, I haven't thought about playing any surf or Doo Wop. Back to my basics for a change.

In cool news, I have some great opportunities to expand my business to the local Guitar Centers, as I will officially be a "Vendor". Also getting some love from some Boutique builders and have some orders lined up.

Now, time to watch this gorgeous woman on Rehab Addict.....
