The Hollow Guitar

My new Taylor T5. This thing rocks. Soundboard pickup, bridge humbucker (yes they are buckers) and they have a hidden neck humbucker UNDER THE FRETBOARD!!! Coolest thing ever. Check the link below and click the neck picture to see the hidden pup.

Thanks for posting that, Yavin. I really dig the T5.
Well, actually, I like all the new Taylor electrics.
How about the T3?

Guys, what are your opinions on the Hofner Club CT series guitars? I have my old Schecter 7-string on layaway at Music Go Round, but over the past few months, I've been mor einclined to consider 8-strings as my main etended range guitar. I was at Music Go Round yesterday, and I saw this Hofner Club CT there going for $315. I've always liked the Hofners I've played. I'm almost tempted to go try it out today. BTW, it's semi-hollow. If it really blows me away, I'd switch the layaway from my Schecter, to the Hofner.

There was a Hofner dealer in St Louis and they carried those. I played them a fair bit in the store. That price is an absolute steal as long as it's the CT and not the Icon series.
I'd absolutely love that beast. Fun to play, killer sounds and the build/finish/hardware quality is about two steps up from your typical Epi/Ibanez guitar. Really can't say enough about it.
If you dig the style, it's a fantastic guitar. I wish I had the cash. For that price, especially, I'd be all over that.

Yeah, I'm leaving in a little while to try it out. There's an added twist - Amazon is blowing them out new for $380. If it's great, I'll either buy one off of Amazon, or I'll switch the layaway off of my Schecter 7-string (and save up for an 8-string). BUT, only if Music Go Round will drop the price.

This arrived today - a 1958 ES-140T. The body is the same size as a Les Paul, but the scale is 22 3/4". I've wanted one of these for over 20 years. Would've preferred one of early deep body models, but couldn't pass on this one due to the price:

hehe. Look at the OP.

I'll add my only semi hollow-ish guitar:

Everyone needs a hollow guitar, Mark. Keep watching this thread and it won't be long.
One of my favorites, the good ole ES-125.

In college, my brother had a 125. He sold it to a friend. 30 years later he catches up with same friend thru Facebook. They hang out for an afternoon. Brother says, "John, you still got that 125?." "Yeah, you want it?" The guy GAVE it back to my brother!
