The greatest 'frontman/woman" dancers of all time

It's not brave. She has some great songs. I enjoy all genres of music.

I'm guessing your manhood comment was a joke. I suppose in high school I wouldn't admit to listening to certain bands out of fear of being judged. I'm an adult now.

I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. I would stack ten of my favorite songs by her against any other artist, and they would hold their own.

He reminds me a bit of the toxic culture that used to exist on many guitar forums. Where you'd have musical dick measuring contests.

He seems to be one of the big holdouts from that era. He wants a redux but with increased acceptance for indie rock this time instead of only liking shredders.

You’re a little slow in the joke department. But no go ahead and take it seriously, you’re on a roll. It was probably misleading as Andrew and I never joke around.

Yes, I'm aware you made an ironic homophobic joke. Still problematic and lame. But that's not even what I'm referring to.

It's more like the humorless guitar bro attitude of measuring things by how difficult they seem to you. And really music comes secondary to how much dominance it seems to have over another thing.

I see it even in other threads where you're like "Eddie Van Halen can out tap so and so easily bro and he did it when he was only 8 years old". That to me just seems like a relic of time long gone where dick measurers were like half of the guitar forums. And there was never any irony to them. Luckily, their time passed away.

Well that’s hard to know. Beyoncé gets writing credits on her songs and often comes up with a word or two. I was well aware of Shakira back in the 90s, which also makes me question why we’ve been seeing the same artists for the past 25 years in popular music. It’s like having 10 aging U2 and Foo Fighters bands just lingering decades after their best work (assuming Shakira has any artistic best work of note). Oh wait, we do have that.

That’s one reason why Billie Eilish is so refreshing. Her and her brother are actual songwriters and home recorders. Although their music isn’t breaking any new ground style wise.
This is all armchair criticism of things you don't know about.

Like I never listen to metal. But I don't try to talk about what metal bands seem refreshing to me. Or how they divide up song credits amongst band members. Or how Megadeth and Metallica still touring means it is the same bands over and over for 35-40 years.

Homophobic? Did you pull that out of thin air? And your Eddie Van Halen quote isn’t a quote. I’m not into metal BTW. You’re fighting windmills again

Additionally, not that it’s any of your business, but I am gay. I came out a few years after my son was born and when I use “gf” in my posts is just a euphemism for “bf”. So if you want to say anything more about that I’ll consider it harassment. You actually forced me into revealing all this.

What I said about Beyonce is well documented. She doesn’t write her music, there are writers that do, and she claims the credits. I don’t know anything about metal.

Chuck Berry did it way better.

Talking about "manhood" is old school homophobia. Trying to be ironic doesn't make it funny.

Point is I don't talk about music I don't follow. You should not either.

Besides your first blunder (see the addition to my previous reply) you have no idea what I listen to.

Beyonce is someone who writes with collaborators just like Lady Gaga and many others.

If you look at Gaga or Beyonce's albums, the song credits generally go to 2-5 different people including themselves. Beyonce tends to have more in some areas because you give songwriting credits even if you use a short sample from old records. But they are not much different in how they do things.

Gaga's Joanne album.

Michael Jackson is still the better dancer.
