The Great Deals Thread

I had the white finished version of the Squier Vintage Jazz bass that I really wish I hadn't sold. I think I paid $150 for it and flipped it for $250.

These are great little tube amps. I have one and I love it. It's basically a Laney Cub 12R.

I’ll second that. In the five-watt mode, you can get some nice break-up at less than ear-bleeding volume (something my Kustom Defender 5 won’t do even with an EL844 tube.). Also, the reverb is surprisingly nice.

I have the Bugera V5 Infinium and it is really good. Only paid $160 but it's only $189 new.
Superb amp. Those little 5 watts are great amps.

So, I found myself in good ol’ La Crosse, WI on Monday for work, and when I was done, of course I had to drop by Dave’s.

Right as you enter, the had the following on display:

Now, on the website, these are shown as “used” 2016 models, but I can guarantee that these are actually new, as they had 5 more in the box... $595 (regular MAP is $924) + $20 shipping if you act quickly.

In the same vein they also had these for $395:

Keep in mind these have rosewood fretboards, not pau ferro.

I started thinking about what I could sell to buy that '69 Thinline.

But then I remembered I have nothing left to sell... I've stripped down to essentials.

Jesus, that Mustang. Holy shit. You are a very, very bad man.

I have a Duo Sonic SS in LPB I got from Adorama when they were $359 (very close, in terms of specs to the Mustang). I had bought it intending to flip it, but it's still in my rack. I ended up A/Bing it with an American Standard strat, and kept the Duo Sonic (I preferred the more girthy neck of the Duo Sonic).

Very nice guitar - I love the hardtail strat bridge quite a bit because it resonates incredibly well. The pickups are good (and humbucking in position 2) and it's nice and light. It doesn't feel small, because even though it has a 24" scale, the length of the slim, offset body means that it's total length is almost exactly the same as my tele. I also like the mint green pickguard with the LPB color so much I am contemplating getting one for my LPB tele...
