When eating fried chicken, one is faced with the decision of what to do with the breaded fried skin. It's usually quite tasty, but also very fatty. So what do you do?

We have been buying whole, roasted chickens.
Most of the time we throw out the skin.

If I am going to make the plunge and fry some chicken, everything but the bones gets eaten.

Just thinking - It's probably been well over a year (maybe two?) since I have had any fried chicken.

If I’m eating fried chicken I’m not trying to be healthy, I’m eating the skin.
This. Eating fried chicken but not eating the skin in an effort to be healthy seems like eating a hamburger but deciding to throw out the meat and the cheese to be healthy. Just order/make non-fried chicken.

I need the extra calories anyways so I'm eating the skin, roast or fried (though fried chicken is a rarity around here). But often the boss buys boneless skinless chicken so

Eating the skin if it's crispy--soggy chicken requires some emergency operations.

I'd been planning on trying chicken skin sandwiches this summer, but I couldn't get a batch of broilers to raise so I won't have a surplus of skin.
