The fried chicken skin quandry

Shaking my head that this is even a question.
I quite enjoy fried chicken, but it's one of those things we never make at home because it's such a mess to do. Plus there are plenty of places nearby that do a much better job than I could.

Anyway, I could stand to lose more than a few lbs, so I tell myself not to eat the skin since it's so fatty. However, I tend to fall into the third option but manage to not eat all of if.
 
But yes, when I have fried chicken, I eat everything but the bones. And when I have fried fish, I eat the batter.
 
I didn’t know eating fried chicken without the skin was even a thing. It’s like eating bacon but trying to discard the fat
It’s unhealthy, but it’s a package deal. If you wanna eat fried chicken (or bacon) in a healthier way, eat it less often
