Worked.
Played some guitar while the rest of the family was out in the early evening. I ran my boost into my A/B switch and then switched between two amps. I dunno. I need more time and more pedals in the mix. Time for a pedal board I think. I'm taking up a good amount of floor space now....
Watched some DVR'd shows and went to bed at about 11:30.

Lots to do this weekend and not wanting to do any of it...
Get the trailer up on jacks.
Swap the switches and outlets in the kitchen.
Swap the rest of the cabinet hardware in the kitchen.
Install the new garbage catcher in the kitchen.

I think I'll go back to bed. :P
 
Today is kinda busy.

I have to finish transcribing two songs for students for Christmas in Loveland, one of which will be a hard rock version of Making Christmas. I also have to program two backing tracks. After that I'll need to run to the bank and drive "into town" to take my sister's dog out and check the mail at LMA. Once I'm home I need to do a load of laundry, vacuum, and tidy up because I have a recording session at my house instead of at LMA. I like recording at home better anyway, but I also like things to be neat and orderly when I have clients over and right now it's not...
 
gigs tonight and tomorrow and the big Christmas tree lighting in town on Sunday....Tom Harkenriders daughter is lighting the tree this year...

This morning has been interesting so far. I was sitting in the shop at work when 2 state troopers come flying in the front door with their guns drawn. The one guy was huge, like the guy in the green mile. He had to duck to come through the doorway. They said "did someone set off the alarm here"? No no one set off the alarm, but where I work is like a campus set up. Someone in another building set off the alarm and the girl that was supposed to call the alarm company didn't do it.

Kinda got my attention though.

Gig tonight.

Work in the garage all weekend.
 
Tonight is dinner and home movie night, we're trying out a very good red wine that's only available around this time every year. The movie is Bridesmaids, I hope it does not suck.

Tomorrow I'm attending my first Regional Harrisburg Area Brewers (ReHAB) meeting at a local brewery, should be fun and hopefully informative. Then run some errands, no plans at night but probably just kick it at home.

Sunday I'm going to a bar at noon since the Steelers game isn't televised, my only goal is to not drink nearly as much as the last time I did this. :embarrassed:

It's a spray on granite looking kind of stuff.
They did three coats of colour in our case because the person doing the work didn't like it after two coats. Then a couple of coats of clear sealer.

Reading the website, you'll notice they say it can be used right away. That is an option they offer and it does cost a bit more. Basically it takes them more time on site because they cure it with lamps.
The other option is to wait for 24 hours. That's what we did.... 'cause then I get a few days of rest before having to put the sink in. :)

To be honest, I thought it was going to look like crap, but it looks pretty good.
There's one little flaw in the clear that the installer said might flow out as it cures, but if it doesn't they can fix it pretty easily and just give them a call in a week if it's still there.

Is that the Permaglaze stuff? My kitchen counters are ugly as shit, but there's no real reason to replace them. A glaze solution on the other hand...

The house I'm buying has the same cheap shit counters, but I am also a cheap shit, and have no desire to replace them, even though I know how... I wonder what that stuff costs, or if I can find it in CA...

I'm not sure what the product is called, but the whole service cost just over a grand including taxes at 13%.
It was a one-day job and the room was clean at the end of the day... and nothing to haul away.

Service is top notch. There were a couple of spots that didn't turn out so well and they came back and fixed them up quick and with no hassles. They basically just had to fix the clear coat on top.

Should be able to find in the US. The process started there and this company brought it up here.
 
Working today. Bashing my head against a machine that I think is fubar, but I keep trying.
Might go help a friend finish up some remodeling and repairs to his house... if he calls me. Might do the same tomorrow. Sunday... nothing planned.
 
Taken the family to Disney in the morning for my oldest's birthday. We will be staying there overnight for the first time. I hope I can handle all the fun.
 
Tonight I'm going to a local brew pub for some dinner and tasty beers, then going home to watch some stuff on DVR and chill.

Tomorrow I'll be running a ton of errands all day, gotta finish dreaded Christmas shopping, pick up some homebrew supplies, then I'll probably help the gf make Christmas cookies by staying out of the way and taste testing them for quality assurance purposes.

Sunday is NFL and clean up the house a little bit, hopefully my beer kit is delivered Saturday so maybe I can start brewing some brown ale.
 
Well, today is the day that the house purchase is recorded, and escrow will be closed... All I can say is hallafreakinlula! Other than that, I will go to my mom's today and do a couple projects, and practice my guitar lesson materials later...

I have gigs all weekend (Friday saturdy and Sunday) and we're getting a christmas tree on Sunday.

My wife's birthday is Sunday. Which sucks, they are offering 4 free tickets to the Jags game for all school district employees but the Jags game is not how my wife wants to spend her birthday.

I am hoping to get some work on my bathroom done this weekend. I have surgery next week, so I will be down for the count for a few weeks and I would like to get it to a place where my brother can do the tile floor while I am out of commission.
