Today - shoot some video at work and come home early.

No real plans for the weekend since everyone is sick around here. If we're up to it my wife and I might go see Jimmy James play on Saturday but it's a long shot at this point...
 
Company is giving us monday off, so 3 day weekend for me. And they are getting us all Costco pizza for lunch, and i think letting us out a bit early today.

So not too bad. :thu:
 
Tonight I'm going to get some gas for the grill and char up some meat, it's supposed to be 67 degrees here today. :messedup:

Tomorrow morning we're going to Philly to visit my brother and his family, going out to a nice Italian restaurant for lunch. Then I'll come home and probably lounge around.

Sunday is more lounging, cleaning the house and doing laundry.

I have Monday off, gotta take the car into the shop for service. :facepalm:
 
How the hell are all you people off on Monday? Does MS just not respect the Founding Fathers? The only places closed around here are gov't offices and banks :messedup:

Tonight we are buying my mom a birthday present and checking out a pal's gig at the bar, some kinda jazzy guitar&vocals duo thing.

Tomorrow is mom's 50th bday dinner. Had to sell my tix to a beerfest in Biloxi, but hey, free food. Ima get a steak :embarrassed: Also brewing a batch of Bell's Two Hearted IPA earlier in the day.

Sunday is Official Day of Laziness.

I'll be spending a good portion of the day removing 3' of snow from the driveway, so the gal can go to work.
 
I just took a good morning dump. Since I am very regular, I plan on the same satisfactory dumpage over the weekend... Sorry, I forgot to take pictures...
 
I'll be doing that in about a month, assuming we get the new house.
I HATE doing stuff like that.

Same here. I refuse to ever paint my house or remodel anything. I am gainfully employed so that I can pay someone else to do the awful shit that I don't want to do.
 
Paulski, it might be closer once we're in the new place.
we're slowly moving more and more west
and south too, actually.

Trill, sadly (not really :wink: ) I'm unemployed right now, but even if I were working, I'm sure that the gal would insist we do everything ourselves.

You know, you make a very good point that I have made before... I am a general building and electrical contractor, but that is just because I fucked off in college, and I am very good with tools, so it was the path of least resistance... People often mention how manly it is to have all these tools, the work truck, etc... I say bullshit. If I were a real man, I would have finished college, gotten a real job, saved my money, and I would be able to afford to pay someone else to do all this shit!

Tomorrow: Chicago Auto Show with my cousin
Sunday: I will say without shame that I am going to watch the Daytona 500. Seriously
And i have Monday off soooo: No idea

Indeed. The way I look at it is, I'm at work (even if I'm not exactly working) 40h a week. Anything outside of that is optional - I have no qualms about using my discretionary income to exempt myself from whatever other bullshit that needs to be done if I so choose.

Life is short. Use your money to buy time, not material goods. That's my philosophy.

Tonight. Gig 7-11. Hop in car and go to second gig at 11:15...that's right , a double header.

Saturday work around the house. Gig sat night.

Sunday, recover I hope.
