Achtung! The first Recordingfest of 2011

You guys are done? Crap. The month is getting away from me.

I actually think I'll be ok. As long as I figure out the drums by this weekend, I should be able to get the rest done next week.
 
I'ma need some more piano done. I cant play keyboard at all. But I am submitting this tune for this recording fest, only a year and a half late.
 
I've got my old computer ready to roll, but I think I'm still going to go back to basics and record one on my old 4 track cassette recorder...if I can find a cassette tape. :grin:
 
I will be working on drum tracks next week when I am in Houston. I should have some spare time in the hotel before I crash - lol. Luckily the parts are simple and I am hoping the EZ Drummer that I just got will be simple to use. From what Micwalt said, all should be good (paraphrased). Been working on the guitar parts, some of the vocals and bass lines. So far I have two songs planned and maybe a third, time pending. Gotta finish one first.
 
Working on a song with my bro-in-law, so as long as I can get it done, I'll actually be participating this go-round. :embarrassed:

Got the chords, a basic melody, a rhythm, and a verse worth of lyrics, so I'm like halfway there! :grin:

Yeah, that's normally my approach as well. :grin:
I always pick songs I've never played before, for some reason. :embarrassed:
 
well, my planned tune looks to be in the shitcan.
not working out the way I'd had in mind.

maybe salvage the drum track for something else.
