No hockey allowed in this thread. The Avalanche are in the midst of one of the most epic collapses in modern hockey history. After the first third of the season they were three points out of the lead for the best record in the western conference. Over the last twenty games they are 2 - 16 - 2. They traded goalies and the goalie they traded promptly started winning again - thus showing that the Avalanche blue line is among the worst in hockey. We in Colorado have to move on to a team with a prayer of winning something - so baseball it is.

the only time i ever watch ESPN is when the Mets are nationally broadcast. i'm a full MLB Network convert.

...its not bad...people around here know what they are talking about...they know about the players, what they should be doing, and what they are not...if a player is playing less than he can, he hears about it...knowledgeable, not mean...other cities take it negatively though...people around here know the history of the teams...I can only speak as a phillies fan though, I dont follow American Football...

the only time i've seen fights in the stands at Shea/CitiField are when the Phillies come to town. a few years ago, the game was over and Philly fans were still fighting with security. they're a colorful bunch.

...thats just cause the mets are boring to watch, and since there were no actual mets fans there that day, they had to fight the security...for entertainment...

this was back in August of '07 when they were still duking it out on the field. and if you think Mets attendance was down last year, just wait. i'm talking a return to the late 70s. you'll be able to hear people chewing their food.
