Common misfit
My car went missing in Houston tonight.
Disappeared while parked on a street behind a restaurant.
So I call the cops. They have no record of an officer authorizing a tow from this location. They'll take a stolen vehicle report.
I also called Mrs G and she fired up the iPad locator and found it at the impound yard. The cops talked to the driver who admitted he did not have an officer's authorization to tow me off which makes it a "bad tow," apparently.
I still had to go to the impound yard at after dark in a [BLINK]VERY[/BLINK] sketchy neighborhood and pay them $218 for the pleasure of it all.
Some fucked up neighbor who doesn't like restaurant traffic parking in the street in front of their house called the tow truck and demanded that I be hauled off for blocking the drive. (I was not blocking the drive) Speaking to the restaurant manager, he tells me she does this a lot.
I asked him why he didn't put up a sign or something.
He didn't have an answer.
