That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

My car went missing in Houston tonight.

Disappeared while parked on a street behind a restaurant.
So I call the cops. They have no record of an officer authorizing a tow from this location. They'll take a stolen vehicle report.

I also called Mrs G and she fired up the iPad locator and found it at the impound yard. The cops talked to the driver who admitted he did not have an officer's authorization to tow me off which makes it a "bad tow," apparently.
I still had to go to the impound yard at after dark in a [BLINK]VERY[/BLINK] sketchy neighborhood and pay them $218 for the pleasure of it all.

Some fucked up neighbor who doesn't like restaurant traffic parking in the street in front of their house called the tow truck and demanded that I be hauled off for blocking the drive. (I was not blocking the drive) Speaking to the restaurant manager, he tells me she does this a lot.
I asked him why he didn't put up a sign or something.
He didn't have an answer.

That completely sucks! I bet the manager's brother in law runs the towing service. Tow truck drivers are lower than snail snot.

I've never been towed, but this girl once fingered... Never mind!

What part of town are you holed up in?

I enjoy cereal and silliness, but those other two are nothing but trouble and I've only partaken of the first a handful of times and seen the second once back when I was getting my undergrad...20+ years ago.

I've been staying in Pearland but this happened near the medical center.

My brother lives there. It used to be a small town, but it has grown faster than any location in Texas the last 6 to 8 years.

The med center and downtown are parking traps created by the man to hold us down!

Oh, and these 40's to upper 60's temperatures are considered "cold" by some around here. I get a kick seeing people run around in heavy coats and insulated hats.

I spent one hour getting from the med center to the towing restaurant on Wednesday. It was three miles away.
Man, I do not miss living in the big city. People claim they like it because there's lots of stuff to do but I never went because it takes too damn long to get anywhere.

Man, if that happened to me, I'd find a way to get back at both the restaurant and the neighbor.

E.G. please disregard certain parts of this post, but it's very Oklahoma negative...

So last June I got full custody of my 2 children. Oklahoma department of human services was notified and all papers were faxed to them. I was told it could take up to 3 weeks for everything to be through the system and for the child support to stop coming out of my paychecks. Called several times a month since June, sometimes getting the "crazy DHS man hating don't tell me you're not paying child support" bitch, or the "I dunno how to look anything up I'll have you on hold until you hang up cuz I'm incompetent idiot" Finally last night I get a hold of the one person from OKDHS that has multiple living brain cells! Seems that nobody there vever filed a transfer of custody, or a cease payment, or anything. So since June my ex has been getting paid child support for the children I have custody of. I've been paying $850 a month that could be better used here actually going to the kids. And all this money I've paid since Igot custody I won't get back. FUCK YOU OKLAHOMA!!!!!

Sorry for the rant, just had to get it out. I'm all better now.

EG you can read from here on... no more Okla-negativity.

Yep, I've been screwed properly by the Texas Attorney General's Child Support Division, and have the empty jar of vasolene (with sand) to prove it.

Now the reason I'm here...

He looks stunned, no?
Story is the cops notified the school early this morning. Presumably at the time the bust was happening. I can envision him getting ready for work and there's a knock at the door.
His wife was all "Who is it, dear?"

He worked with the high school band too, so I saw him at all the events.
I didn't like him much, but wasn't around him a lot. He seemed like an ass to me so I avoided him. Most of the low brass openly disliked him. For being an ass.

Hey Weiners. I don't want to start a mojo fest but this day turned to shit.
You see, my oldest brother Jerry was 22 years old, married and had a baby on the way when I was born in 66. I was an uncle at 9 months of age.
My neice's name is Tracy. We grew up together, more like cousins than uncle and niece.

She's in the hospital on life support tonight apparently a drug overdose.
Barring an honest to God miracle she's not gonna make it.
I'm sad.
