Thanks. The power poles are actually local. The one on front is on the main road in front of where I live. The towers are on the by-pass. I photoed several different angles and worked from the photos. I first sketched them on with a pencil and then went back over with a sharpie. Then I applied the aniline wood dye. I started with the green stain and then worked in the black for the burst.

That's cool, because that is kind of the vibe I was aiming for. Seeing electrical lines on a lonely night or long stretch of highway are like strange beacons of connection to me. I think about how they connect people and bring homes to life, but look so unassuming.
 
So Marc, i'm sure you've explained this elsewhere, but It's 11 PM and i'm too lazy to find where. How'd you get the picture on that guitar?

so....being the really fuckin' smart guy that I am, I just told the one that got away that she was the one that got away :facepalm:
