I heart dogwoods, reminds me of home. The cherry blossoms here are pretty darn awesome though.

so, I found a PRS I'm gassing for baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

No, but I really miss my two goldtops. I shouldn't have sold either of them, and I'm kicking myself (not literally). McSoapy and SC245, both balanced perfectly and played perfectly. Now I can't even remember what I sold them to buy, and whatever that was is long gone. Oh well...

Regrets...I've had a few...but then again...too few to mention...

:thu: My grandfather used to race way back in the day in Oklahoma... Imagine jumping one of those beasts!

Wow, that's fucking awesome! People were much tougher in those days compared to us spoiled lightweights.

My great-grandfather rode his Indian to work as a painter/wallpaperer. He'd strap his toolbox across the back. He once fell and broke a rib. Some months later, the broken bone fragment slowly worked its way down to his ankle and poked through the skin while he was at work. Blood and pus seeped into his work boot, but he finished the day without a complaint. Holy crap! I'd be crying with a splinter!

What!?!? From his rib to his ankle? That's insane.
But I believe you though. Prior generations were some badass mofo's. Yoots of today? Mostly poofs.

Check out this wood, paulski.

That's really strange, because I was literally sitting here wondering what dimensions I need, so that I can reply to your PM... Cosmic!

Crap, that's a sexy finish! I can't believe you dumped the Ibby! That one didn't last long.

Paulski, that one is like a 4x4 post. Perfect for a set neck!
The other is only 7" wide, but over 2" thick. I have some others that are wider but not as thick. I got one that's 1 3/4"x11" wide.

Oh, and I sprayed the back with clear last night. No surprises yet.

Now it got cold again, though. I think sunday will be my next chance to spray.

Nice... I would like to do a set one piece neck, and the 7" wide pieces can be joined to be a perfect body size...

That's what I was thinking. It does have a sapwood band down one edge, though. Probably could trim it off and be ok if you're doing something small like a tele or whatever.
Or leave it. It can always be stained.
