Yes, the Kat is gone. I traded it to my local shop for top shelf parts to finish the tele. I was gonna do the tele on the cheap, but after I played the boy's and saw how nice it was, I decided to go all in with it. Fender original vintage tele pups, Wilkinson three saddle bridge, four way switch, nice pickguard, good pots, pio cap, etc. Even got some older style vintage fretwire for it.

It's fine. I had got to the point where I never played it and, honestly, shipping it off for another Epi just didn't excite me much. I would have spent $50-60 to ship it under Gibson's shipping rules and it didn't seem worth it.

The local shop here gives great values for trades, so I figured I came out about even.
Plus, now I have kickass parts to go in my tele.

Now I gotta figure out how to finish it. :facepalm:
I think I'll just go with shellac for now.

BtW, I stripped the SE back to wood. Maybe I told you that.
Trying to get rid of the fisheye. I scrubbed the bejeebus out of it with mineral spirits and laid down a coat of shellac for a sealer coat. Started sanding it last night and it's looking really good. I hope to finish the sanding tonight and spray the primer.

I learned a lot spraying the blue on the tele and I think I figured out some of the things I was doing wrong.

He hasn't had internet yet in his new place, and he doesn't have a smartphone, so he's been internetz stranded. Got his new address for the box, and my guitar is coming right along. He's refretted it, fixed the neck issue, and built the pickup. I told him that I wanted a pickguard like Prince has on his Tele, so he actually tracked down the manufacturer of that material in Germany...:thu: pretty neat. He's kinda freaking out, since his business has been on hold while they're trying to get his home and shop wired. They bought a foreclosure, and the peeps that used to live there owed the internet folks so much cash that they essentially refused to hook up his place. He's had to basically go through a background check, but hopes to be up and running soon.

I don't know. I've got it to load a few times, but could not post. Mostly I'm getting a generic Can't Find It page.
They seem to just be gone.

I've noticed even more of a slowdown in traffic over there since the three days downtime a few weeks ago. Their numbers have gotta be way down.

At the top of the pages over there, it says page one of 48. When I started over there, it was page 1 of 125. Both with 45 day cutoff.
