That Seedy Table In The Dark Corner Where The Reprobates Gather

A couple weeks or so... When I tighten the truss rod, I apply back pressure to the neck with my hand... This takes stress off of the threads, and also helps move the neck faster, while tightening... So, I try and get the neck where I want it after two or three days of it being strung, adjust action and intonation, and then I find myself loosening the rod a bit in a couple weeks...

good to know. It almost seems like it goes halfway back to where it was the day before every time I pick it up. I guess in a week or two it'll be fine.

It sounds fucking HUGE, too. I'm not used to such high output pickups.

I love guitars withat huge sound.

Andy Summers is a pretty good player, aint he? One of those guys that blends so well it's easy to overlook him but he has some chops.

I used to live in a fairly "low output" world pickup wise but I think thats changing. It appears that there are some higher output ones that don't sound displeasing to my ears anymore. :embarrassed:

Apparently, I have a package sent to me today from Matt's music... I guess my Suhr pickups are on their way! Weeeeee...

I'm curious what you think. Not too many people that I know have tried the Suhr pickups in a non-suhr instrument. I'm loving mine though. :)

Well, my guess is it is going to sound really good, regardless of the fact that this is a basswood body... It's nice and resonant, so really nice pickups should do the trick... All the rest in in my fingers...

Just shot a little video. Hopefully I can get it out tonight or maybe tomorrow.

:thu: Looking forward to it! I actually shot my first video yesterday, just as a practice... I erased it, but I recorded myself jamming to the A Phrygian backing track that Mo did... I'm going to do it again, and try to get some decent wankage to post on the forum...

Here's our twenty some piece front ensemble. They don't march. Just stand there and play. They even get a PA.

 That's a long damn day...

Lets see..I got here at 7am. I'll leave at 1:30 to make it to Dana Point and load in by 2:30 at a hotel. Soundcheck is over a 4pm and then I'd imagine we don't play until 7 or 8 pm but I have to stay at the venue the whole time and then we have a hard stop at 10pm but then there is 2-3 hours of tear down and drive home before I go to bed. The Sunday is about house cleaning and yard work to prepare for next weeks birthday part for my daughter :)

Sounds about like us, Mark.
9 am rehearsal
12pm load and transport
3 pm first march

Then we break down and watch the other bands and wait to see if we make finals.
Finals begin at 7 pm til 11 or so
Then, break down, tranport back to our skool and unload.
Return three box trucks tomorrow morning.
Sheez.
