Today's mah Thursday, 'cause I gotz Friday off :thu:

The sun is shining, and it's gonna be 80 today disco-084

Every time I pick up the new SE, it's like a warm, fuzzy blanket on a cold day - OR. a nice cool breeze on a warm summer evening :rainfro::messedup:

The BH is already en route (I LOVE AMS)

For a few hours, anyway, it's pretty good to be me

Hey guys!

Yeah, I finally migrated, this place feels a lot better than that cold, heartless HC2.0... Haha, its not that bad, but this feels better.

Hows everyone doing?

Hi Dougie! Good to see you here.

I've been splitting my time between here and HC. I like the peeps here. They don't seem to take themselves too seriously.

Hey jrockbridge... I would call you by your name, but I don't know it, sorry... although I have an overwhelming urge to call you Steve, so.. Hey Steve

Yeah, There were a lot of people on HC who couldn't take a joke too well, but then there were a load of people who knew there stuff about... everything. We will have to see what this place is like.

Dougie has entered the building  Haha.

How you doing Ethan?

Doing good, thanks. Got my electric strung up... long story, but I've only got four tuners that will fit the holes (I have six vintage tuners, but they require Stew Mac conversion bushings), and no neckplate. So she's sitting up there, strung with four strings, with no neckplate

But I got some strings from a fellow forumite in the post today, and just couldn't wait. I've been playing my mother's nylon-string classical guitar (which she never plays) for months while I've been without an electric... it was SO, SOOOO good to finally hear some electric toan again.

How you doing? :)

I admire you, Ethan. You don't give into GAS.

Great news buddy! Hopefully you will be shreddin' again soon Totally_jammin_out

GAS, eh... problem there is, I can't give in, because I'm shit poor

On YouTube, however, I have been talking with a guy who has a smashed-up '53 LP Goldtop in his closet. Never got around to getting it fixed. The way he worded his posts made it seem like it was just an eyesore to him... dead weight. So we're in talks. Most likely, it won't come to anything, but it all hangs on whether he'll ship it to the UK, and the price. Don't get your hopes up, but we'll see what develops...

oh shit... you mean... a Gibson '53 Goldtop? Jesus. I'd be all over that... Stick in some pickups, give it a whipe down and it'll be good as new.

Good luck on that one mate. I'm contemplating whether to stick a Bigsby on my Tele or not... i'v always loved the idea of Bigsby'ing up a Tele. Here is a pic of her...

Well, I'm still in talks with him. I'm not saying I definitely WILL get it, but... yeah, we'll see what happens. He says the finish has been sanded (no more Goldtop ), the headstock's snapped and the body's in fairly bad shape. But, that probably means I can get it for dirt cheap (at least compared to the minty ones on Fretted Americana...!). We'll see what happens.......

As for the Bigsby, I just say go for it!
