Did it say if he used a blackface bassman head, too?
The article was in one of the GC flyers they send out. I probably tossed the flyer, but I know Hendrix was known for using Marshalls, but I do recall on Voodoo Chile he did say he used a fender amp - don't recall the model. Another interesting thing in the articles, he said Hendrix played around in the studio a lot with cheapie amps, like Silvertones, and Sears. Looking for that unique sound I guess. Voodoo Chile was basicially a recorded "live" in the studio cut.

My GAS is rearing up its ugly head again, for this!

It's a Fernandes Vertigo. I remember having bigtime GAS for one back in the mid 90s, but none of the dealers around the area had any to try out. I tried one out briefly last year - it was pretty good! :thu: I have a line on a 90s MIJ one for about $180. Ahhhhhh!!! I have too many guitars as it is!!

P.S. - I'm 60% for the 10" speaker cab for my Killer Ant.

Hi everyone... not a biggie to anyone else, but my uncle who taught me how to play, who I havent seen in 10 years came by to visit and tried out our protos...

Thanks Ken! :) Now if I can just convince myself, that a 4th guitar is warranted.....:hmm:

You can get them without EMGs. It's a design that is truly unique to Fernandes:

Dang.. now I know why I all of a sudden saw my Uncle... He needs to sell gear...He came back and offered me this gear for my 1967 Chevy or all this stuff for 1100 bucks... My uncle is a crazy MOFO. I told him I would just play dumb and put it on the local craigslist for him.... If I had cash flow I would have taken it... but Im getting like an email every 5 minutes for the stuff...

i think i'm in lovedrool0... awsome bud:thu:, you didn't happen to talk to your bro yet did ya'

The Music Man is cool! :thu: Is the Music Man amp, the one with 2, 10s in it? I used one of those as a loaner back in 1984, when my Peavy Encore 65 crapped out. It was a nice amp! In retropsect, I kind of wish I'd tried to trade the Encore 65 for it, because it had nice sounding overdrive IMO.
