yeah woody, I do...but don't let it bother you...just enjoy the guitar for what it is...an inexpensive high-quality player...don't fixate on whether or not it's genuine mahogany...Luan is from the same family, and it will give you years of pleasure...

Ok - Thanks. No stuff like that does not bother me. It is an interesting point tough. I guess Luan is mahogony, or isn't - depending on who you are talking to.

exactly my point...when mahogany is extinct ( a real possibility) Luan will be widely accepted as a replacement...
 
what's up guys... as of today i'm completely done with sociology, got my outline for my persuasive speech done (doing it on the need for an official language and why that language should be Englidh), got my oil changed and head light replaced in my blazer, got the last coat of clear(7th or 8th i think) put on the Cort Caster, and mowed and weed eated today... i been busy
 
Busier than most of us...I was gonna go in the basement and do some more stuff, but didn't.

Been a lazy Sunday.

Congrats on your studies. I still have dreams where I forgot to take a class, or never technicialy graduated from high school. Not sure what that is all about. I did a book discussion today with 3 others - all women. Interesting mix. I have been playing the SE. Right now watching Avatar - I think that just came out on DVD this week. The Wileshire is at eBay now.

How's it going, SR? Yeah, it is kind of quiet tonight.

Some friends were just over. I spent the night discussing family issues with mom and daughter. Sometimes I get roped into being a therapist. But that's ok. I'm preparing to go to grad school to become one so I can get paid for it.
 
Yeah, I really should sell a few guitars just to pare down my equipment. I just know that I will replace them with similar models if I sell them. GAS is a a disease without a cure.

I do have a SWR LA15 bass amp to sell. I'd also consider selling my Line6 Flextone II. But if I sell that, it's getting replaced with a ZT Lunchbox.
 
You got me looking for cheapies. Bad move. I just found a used Daisy Rock Elite at a local GC for $99. I may have to go check that out tomorrow. They have great reviews. And I know that guitar has been sitting at that GC for a while. Now they just want to get rid of it. Hmmm.... it might give me a good opportunity to trade in the SWR on a Lunchbox.
 
There are a bunch of them in the Chicago area. I just don't need another guitar. But that never stopped me.
 
I've been meaning to visit Memphis for a while now. Really I'm only interested in going on the Gibson factory tour and getting some good BBQ. Of course I'd have to see Graceland just because I've never been there. So it might be good for a 3 day weekend or so.
