I read a book entitled Zen Physics a decade or more ago. In one chapter the author talked about early 20th Century experiments on the brain citing an example of slicing a living person's brain in half (down the middle) and some of the strange outcomes, such as having them put on an oxford shirt - one hand would begin buttoning while the other would unbutton. Good stuff Maynard
In Physics of the Impossible, Michio Kaku, divides up many speculative ventures, and technologies, into varying degrees of difficulty. It touches on just about every speculative field out there. The surprising thing is that there is only a very short list that Kaku feels is most difficiult - perhaps centuries away from being achieved. Most will come much sooner.
Headed to bed guys.
