Yeah, what's up with the stadium? It looks like a crappy warehouse from a crappier part of town.
 
I always look forward to the WC. It has so much passion and skill in the games especially once you get to the knockout round
 
My wife is more into it than I am. I'll watch it with her and enjoy it. But I know nothing about team rankings, et al.
 
So Mexico pulled it out against Cameroon. I watched the early minutes while I was eating lunch, and they had a goal disallowed for being offsides. Didn't look offsides and there would have been a lot of discussion about it if they hadn't managed the win anyway.

Actually, two goals called back. The first one I believe correctly (the head of "Johnny Two Saints" was advanced beyond the second-to-last defender at the time the ball was played forward -- the histrionics of the announcers notwithstanding), but the second call was clearly incorrect. Should have been two goals for Mexico (as much as that pains me to say!)

Both goals should have stood. One thing about the offside rule, as long as the keeper is still in goal (or ahead of the ball to be correct) he counts as one of the 2 defenders - he's the last man. So what you thought was the second to last defender was actually the third.
 
Tremendous showing from the Dutch. I ysyallt root for them so will need to dig out my France 98 Dutch strip.

It still fit me for 2010 so will be interestibg to see ulif I can fit it on now :)

Spain are in trouble. Holland should qualify in the next game and Chile will be gunning to go through early too.

Im up at 7am for Tough Mudder on Sunday and the England ge kicjs off at 11pm tomorriw so I'll be doing all I can to avoid the score before I can watch a replay on Sunday after my race.

Shaping up to be a good tournament.

That's the light coming from the Veggie greenhouse. They grew some romaine lettuce and harvested it earlier this week.
