Well, Sweden kind of brought that upon themselves. I don't understand why you would defend so far back against 10 men for 20 minutes... Gomez' header and the ball on the post should have been a clear warning.
Belgium was good to watch, though their tendency to get nonchalant in defense might bite them in the ass in the knock-out stage.

Yeah, they played well. Pretty surprising considering how in the first round of games they were without a doubt among the weakest. In that respect this WC is really interesting. None of the "favourites" has been convincing so far, some have been al over the place and some dark horses are doing great. Would be nice to see Croatia, England or Belgium take it with a great generation.

Yeah, great group as far as excitement goes. Spain got off lucky as well. Sad for Iran, but at the end of the day, 30-something % possession is going to get you into trouble if you have to win. They were simply not good enough. Not by much, but not good enough is not good enough.
