And in other Google news, Google publicly says that software patents are rubbish designed to hurt consumers, while behind the scenes they're working harder than ever to secure more patents -- around ten a day.

Thats interesting. The idea of them buying so many patents that people would be afraid to sue is crazy. Not saying it wouldn't work, but its a crazy idea to me.
