Salted peanuts in a bottle of Coca Cola?

Tried it with mixed nuts today.
It was in a big Coke glass, though. It was kind of tricky to snack at first. The nuts tended to float around.
Once you drink some down and can take a big swig, it’s easier to snack.

It was okay. The Coke goes flat. I kind of expected that though.

Almonds sink first.

Thank you for your experiment.:thu:

I went to the store today to get peanuts to try it, and the only two varieties they had on the shelves were ones salted and baked in their shell, and a spiced variety with chili flakes and Szechuan peppercorns.

Dumping a bunch of super spicy nuts into a bottle of Coke is a bit much even for me. And having to shell my roasted peanuts to add them to the Coke seems to defeat the whole spirit of the thing.

did a bit of twangin', taking breaks to suck on a bottle of coke with salted redskin peanuts. It was quite the delicious treat, and the salt and crunchy texture of the nuts lifted the whole experience.
It ticks a similar box to boba pearl milk tea, but is superior due to better taste and its rugged American qualities.
Will definitely try again.

Don’t get that crap on yer guitar amigo, it’ll eat through the finish faster than you can say “scrumdiddlyumtious.”

Oh yes back when I was a kid. You could get a glass bottle of Coke and small bag of peanuts and just pour the bag of peanuts in the bottle of Coke. It tasted really good. Probably been 45 years since I've done that.

I enjoyed the whole shebang so much last night, I am back for round 2. Playing 'Suzy-Q' and 'Mystery Train' with the reverb and the tremelo turned up, and knocking back 10mg of zolpidem, washed down with a cold coke half filled with salted nuts. They are a mighty tasty treat, when you're in the mood for twangin'.

sedatives and weird tribute americana in China. I think you may have been trapped in some unreleased jim jarmusch film. possibly by an evil warlock.

'It'll tickle your innards'

I'd never seen those old Mountain Dew bottles, so I have learned something new today, thanks! Willie the Hillbilly!
The store we frequented was a country store. It had a front porch with chairs. There was also a place at the back of the store with wooden chairs for people to sit around and just BS and play cards. The drinks were kept in big chest coolers that circulated cold water around the bottles. So each time you pulled a bottle to purchase it was dripping wet with water. It was redneck paradise.

The living I missed growing up in the middle of big city suburbia. My Mom was from the middle of nowhere Alabama, and my grandma (my Dads mom) was an Iowa farm girl. But they both ran out to the big cities as soon as they could.
