Hahahahahah haunt seen that clip in a while

Anyway I'm busy gathering EU forces to invade America after some fat Yank bird insulted the EU.

Good afternoon, chaps.

In this (wonderfully) stormy and windy weather is it acceptable to allow myself a little secret pleasure and surprise to see that the section of fence that I had to rebuild a few days ago seems to be up to the job? :embarrassed: :)

Afternoon chaps.

Any of you play lawn bowls? I got a tad squiffy earlier in the week and applied to join the club down the road. I have no clue about lawn bowls but it seemed like a good idea at the time

I found out I'm heading to Old Blighty later on this year :)

We are flying in to York, it's cheaper than Heathrow, I guess.

Looks like we'll be getting a B&B near downtown, within walking distance of most of the good stuff to see. Are there any 'must see' places there in York? 5 of us are going, and we are all history buffs, so good museums, castles, battlefields,/etc.

Then heading down to the Downton Abbey castle, Southampton (my brother wants to visit the HMS Victory) for the Naval museum, and then a ferry over to Normandy. Back to England and up to London, where we will be flying out of (I think).

Any good suggestions for side excursions along the way, restaurants, would be appreciated. I'll know more later on about our exact itinerary.

In York itself, see Jorvik (Viking museum) and the National Railway Museum. York Minster (Cathedral) is also well worth a visit.

Can't talk about HMS Victory or Downton Abbey but if you end up with time in London and you're all history buffs there are a ton of things to do. Tower Bridge, Tower of London and HMS Belfast are all excellent. Also strongly recommend the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum as well.

We might have a day or so in London.

3 of us that are going were there in 2006, we visited stuff like the British Museum, Churchill bunker, the Tower, Cutty Sark/Greenwich/Naval museum, Westminster Cathedral. We tried going to Westminster Abbey but it was closed to the public as there was a wedding going on inside. No idea who was getting married, probably someone related to the royal family if they were getting married there?

Anyways, I think my brother wants to visit the War Museum

If you get a chance do Westminster Cathedral. Amazing

Under no circumstances cross the river and go to the Tate Modern
