It's been a crazy good summer here, and even now it's still sunny most of the time. I'm slowly getting used to evenings being dark again :embarrassed:

Sadly I was not. It was the funeral of a local actress and theatre director who knew The Stones in the 60's. Nice touch to come along after all this time.
 
Just opened The Guardian app and there is a massive picture of Thom Yorke with a massive headline starting 'Thom Yorke and....'

For a fraction of a second I thought 'oh shit' then saw it was about him complaining about AI's :shitbricks:
 
I take it everyone has migrated to Trump's America hence the abject lack of Euro posting?

The job I've been acting up to has just gone live to be made permanent on the council job portal.

They've rejigged it all. It used to be 5-8 questions now it's just one about skills and experience that make you suitable for the post.

I wonder if "I've been doing it for the past 18 months" will suffice :embarrassed:
 
Good luck landing the job. Think this thread has just been one of those things slowing down round here. I'd say the Euro contingent have been less busy across all the forums here for awhile tbh. Guess we've all had stuff on.

Drove to NL from Finland before the weekend. Now gonna stay here for a month. Had a blast with Kiira and CoGF in the car, but totally exhausted right now.

Hi all. This thread seemed to die at about the same time as the forum upgrade. Maybe Euros don't like the new format or something.

I do despise the new format :embarrassed:

But also, life just got hella busy. I kinda have more time, but that also came with doing more stuff out of the house etc.

I do miss the banter though :embarrassed:

At my end, it was definitely a case of life getting in the way more than anything else. GPOTD died around the same time iirc.

I'm used to the new format and find it easier to find stuff now to be honest.

Thanks man. They've recently rolled out a new system in my work meaning I'm going to need to do the whole application from scratch and being new it's glitchy af - you can't just save, you have to complete full sections so I'll need to dig out my qualifications, scan and upload them then save, input my personal details and save, actually fill in the application and save. PITA but I'll get it done before Christmas.
