That's different state to state. In Virginia we have to have a state inspection done every 12 months for safety. They pull the wheels to check brake pads, bearing play in the steering system, tire tread depth, and all safety features. You must repair any failures prior to receiving a pass.

Pretty much what our MOT test is. The emissions are part of it as well over here.

Some states here have that as well and of course it's a federal offense to alter exhaust components. I read that on my motorcycle as I was drilling out my baffles.

Blegh, fekking terrorists... Two of my friends work pretty much next to the metro stations targeted, luckily they're okay. Getting real tired of that shit... I have a hard time trying to understand what the fuck anyone thinks to gain from this bullshit.

As to what they'll gain, the last theory I heard went along the lines is that it'll make Christian Euros hate and victimise Islamic immigrants, leaving said followers of Islam in an emotional/financial/political position where they are easier to radicalise thereby increasing the fundamentalists' support base. Divide and conquer basically.

Or they could just be hate filled kn*bheads who want to hurt and kill people.

Yeah, I've heard that theory, but so far it seems to work out as 'divide and get absolutely hammered to shit from all sides while making millions of lives all over the globe miserable'. How the hell do you ever imagine people taking your point of view seriously if all you're doing is murdering people left, right and centre... To increase your support base you have to offer people something, not just blind butchery, people get tired of that really quickly...

And to expand my point, I am equally fed up with the western world poking around in everyone's business waving the flag of democracy, but god forbid if they democratically elect some 'islamist' or 'commie' that 'we' don't like and, again, messing up millions of lives by poking around some more until everything goes to shit.

Your right. I was fed up in 87 when I spent 13 months in Belgium protecting U.S. and Belgium resources. I sure as hell didn't want to be there.

Scared? Sorry Brent, we have a another game called rugby over here. Still played with a funny shaped ball but has full on contact but no girly helmets or body armour like they wear in American Handegg games. Think you'd find a few NFL players would be scared shitless of trying it without the padding.
 
I just bought some crumpets:



How do you guys across the pond eat them? With butter? Cream Cheese? Maple Syrup/or molasses? Dip them in your tea?
 
Toasted so there's a bit of crunch on the outside but still soft in the middle and covered in lots of butter. I'll occasionally add Marmite as well but you have to be a fan of the stuff.
