Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

All right, spazzers? Have I missed anything?

I've been back in Edinburgh since mid-October, but I'm only now getting around to looking for a job, etc. (just had my first interview on Thursday past).

Had to renovate this place we're living in first. I used to love DIY; now I'd be happy never to have to do it ever again.

Alright bellends  I finally found myself a band that might actually last this time, had a few practices and it's sounding good so far :) the idea is covers to start with to get some gigs under our belt then start on the originals. Luckily we've all been in cover bands before and have no desire to play the usual bollocks, in the first jam we'd all established there'd be no Summer Of 69, Mustang sally and definitely no Oasis

Righty o shitebag!

Yeah, DYI is proper shan. We still have so much to do to the house after 2 years it's depressing.

My plan to win the lottery and have professionals do it is not working out that well either

But... Everyone likes those songs! Nobody will be dancing!

Fuck em :embarrassed: there's a few rock pubs round here, I think the songs we're doing would still go down well, they're just a bit more up to date and not so cheesy/soul destroying to play.

But Bryan Adams rocks  :embarrassed:

I got a letter from the council telling me I'll be going on to half salary in a few weeks. Apparently I've been off sick for the past 5 months and no one bothered to tell me

Back from Norway, had an epic week and being back feels a bit empty... Snowboarding was very nice, even though I probably bruised a rib (which doesn't hurt that bad until I try to lay down  ), the weather was amazing and we had a blast with my GF's uncle and aunt.

Scored a cheap-ish bottle of whiskey on tax-free side of the airport though, so I guess leaving has a plus side :embarrassed:

Well it looks like I went and got offered the job. That's a bit of a load off. Starting on 14th. Totally_jammin_out

coming here n taking our jobs!!!!!!

speaking of jobs I've clearly missed a trick - its taken a ball hair under a month for insurance contractors to retile my bathrooms and after being shut for nearly two weeks my local reopened tonight to much excitement which quickly disapated when stepping inside to realise that in all that time they've basically drenched the place in taupe paint (you can still smell it drying) and put a few 20 inch tellys in the rangers / Celtic mob line of demarcation:-\

pub o clock you fanny flaps.

pmc, there was some Celtic tajjer from London on the Clyde 1 phone in going on about eel pies and rod Stewart last night... Wasn't you was it?

jokebants :embarrassed:

charidee wager on the upcoming festivities?

Evening fannies!

Not much time these days to post here during working hours :(.

On the upside, I have been twice as productive at work :embarrassed:

 just got back from the first (hopefully) annual experimental sound festival the student association I've got talked into being vice president of organised. It was a ton of fun, but I had to be a lot more representative for the association than I'd hoped. Turned out I was the only board member actually being there, so my heavy drinking had to be postponed by a couple of hours  Good fun seeing some people (ab)use all kinds of audio equipment though.

Too f*cking right. Been a sh*te few days, (car trouble with two of the family's cars in 5 days and mine is off the road waiting for parts that are on order to get an MOT).

I had my car MOT'ed last month... 350 fucking pounds. Thats more than my car is probably worth

Cant wait for Easter holiday, going for a few days away to the West Coast. And many many REFRESHING CONTINENTAL LAGER BEERS will be consumed.

Pa watching It's not rocket science on the Beeb. Rachel Riley is all sorts of lovely
