very nice. what lense are you using?

Ms JBJ bought me a DSLR for my birthday (oh yeah and fuck the lot of you who didn't wish me a happy birthday :embarrassed: ) and I'm trying to learn a bit more about how to get the best out of it.

I have a few, but the one that I used for these (and use more than all of the others added together) is an Olympus Zuiko 14-54mm 1:2.8-3.5 zoom.

PS. ...but not this one, I now realise; mine is an older model (without the 'II') :embarrassed:
PS2. It was my birthday yesterday and nobody cared about that either. Tossers.

Ugh why did I agree to do a gig in Musselburgh tonight???

On the upside it's above a world buffet type place so once I'm set up I'm goign to pig out :embarrassed:

In the process of preparing chicken tikka masala, huge_stylee. There will be a degree of piggery going on here too... :thu:

Morning all

Almost-random thought for the day: Is the principal reason that people choose to avoid the discussion of politics and religion that they are uncomfortable with their own positions on these matters and scared of being provoked into having to reconsider them?

Evening all. Happy Belated Birthday to The_Huge.

Politics is a subject I find I don't agree whole heartedly with any party, all have some valid points, all mainly talk shite and are arseholes. Last person you should trust with power is the twat who wants it.

Religion however I have fairly firm views on but generally keep quiet on as I respect other people's right to have their own opinion on the matter.

I have a good rule when it comes to politics, I'll vote for whoever I disagree the least with.

As for religion, I genuinely think organised religion is the root of all evil.

Pretty much my take on both to be honest.

Who I agree and disagree with politically I keep quiet as there is always some asshat who wants to pick a fight.

Religion wise, I think that us Euros are far more likely to be atheist or agnostic, and generally less offended by religious discussions but Christianity has a bit of a bedrock in the US and as a primarily American forum, agreeing to disagree/not discuss keeps the peace and I had more than enough of the vitriol that used to float around HC.
