Return to the Planet of the "Hey Euro's its that time again" Thread.

LOL. I guess I'm still pretty depressed about the whole Scottish vote.

Yep, me too. Turns out that 72% of people of age 65+ voted against, which has made all the difference in the result. Besides the fact that people within this demographic are more likley to be averse to change, I am sure being told they were going to lose their pensions hasn't helped.

So, I assume you will not be able to return to the UK now?

Not that I want to get into this again but I read an article today which made the point that whilst older folk may have based their decision on their aversion to change, the younger voters will have based their decision on their aversion to life experience telling them otherwise.

I'm amazed that the vote was so heavily Yes for the younger voters and think it might have been a lot down to getting in there truly undecided and just thinking "fuck it, let's go Yes and see how it pans out" which is a lot less valid a way to vote than based on fear of losing your pension...

Anyhoo my garden is a state and after deciding I'd rather not hammer it with weed killing pesticides I went mental with a vinegar and salt based home weedkiller recipe I found online so my house now smells like a chippy minus the grease

Actually what I'm depressed about runs a bit deeper than that, and this is why I don't disagree with jbj either. The fact is it would have been very risky to vote Yes. You saw how the markets reacted that one day that people thought Yes was taking the lead. If they had actually won, I have no doubt that the markets would've gone mental. I know the SNP told us not to worry about money, the pound, etc, but look what a fuck up the building of the Scottish Parliament was, not to mention the Tram system. I just can't trust those guys with my money.

I probably still would've votes Yes, but knowing there would've been huge sacrifices to make in the coming years if Yes had won.

P.S. We can still return to the UK--nothing's changed there. Actually if Scotland had become independent, it would've probably been easier, but not until it actually became independent, and we want to return by the middle of 2015.

Morning

Stu just wait until Alex Salmond begins frothing at the mouth. He hates the English so much it won't be long before his hate reaches critical mass and he self destructs in a huge fireball of utter bullshit and exploding haggis'

Actually, amongst the strongest yes demographic was the age group between 25-35, hardly a reflection of your assessment cop0

Clearly some people like him.

I never voted SNP in my life and I have never been a big fan of Salmond. However, he never came across to me as an English hater nor has he ever expressed any hatred towards the English.

Trolling doesn't suit you cop0

It may not be hatred but theres certainly something there. I think at some point in his life some Englishman from Eton said something that upset him.

not everything revolves around football

Oh, do one. There's been very little football posting lately. ONE post last night after witnessing a mental penalty shootout.

Fine, some of you aren't happy with the vote. Now stop being such whiny little cunts about it and get on with things.

I just don't think getting the best education possible is a cause for concern.

Dexter ill say no more on the subject. Apart from this

Who is she though?

I also just read that whatsherface from Harry Potter has dirty photos that hackers will release on Friday. Ha!

Im amazed that so many 'celebrities' actually take nudey photos and even more surprised that they store them in the 'cloud'.
