Yeah, don’t know what’s going on with Steak n Shake, but I have noticed a bunch of them are closed in Central OH, with SnS “franchise opportunity” signs outside. Seems like maybe a larger franchisee must have gone belly up, but overall, I didn’t ever see any indication that they were in trouble.
Boston Market has struggled for a long time.
Perkins still seems to be thriving in the Upper Midwest and Plains.
The only Marie Callender’s I remember in the Western Chicago suburbs closed like 20 years ago.
You’re not gonna see Tim Horton’s except for Michigan and Ohio, going up into the Northeast. They seem to be doing OK in this area.
