I read your post before you edited it so, I know what was varnished over.
I would like to live my life while I am here to live it; nothing complicated about that.
Not a fan of anyone, government included, telling me what I can & cannot do.
Beside cardio I need to workout daily as a therapy for my low back issues; that is why I started going to the gym nearly 13 years ago, after I was released from a therapy clinic after being there for 7 months.
The typical time frame for the average patient was 2 1/2 to 3 months.
I could hardly walk when I started there; I was in a therapy pool for the first two weeks just trying to keep my legs under me.
I also have issues with a few bad joints (hip, knee, etc.) that self therapy at the gym helps me to keep from having joint replacements.
Being 59 years of age @ a gym where there are 60, 70, 80 somethings with multiple joint replacements asking everyone else there, including me, what did you have replaced, is an eye opener, and a great way for me to think. "hey, I don't want to go there." How do I accomplish that? I have to keep moving every day. That's it.
As far as lung issues, I copied the verbiage from the other thread that I won't be returning to so, I'm very familiar with some of what you edited out, from my own personal experience.
I have a (life long) history of respiratory illness, not that makes me an expert on anything, other than maybe, beer.

(1) by age 3 years I had staph pneumonia four times; at the age of 21 months that (bi-lateral) round was so severe, I was (eventually) years later informed by family members that the physicians requested the family to come to the hospital to say there goodbyes, as I was expected to expire. I did not die.
(2) I had childhood asthma until age 14; curiously my last asthma attack was the same week I started smoking cigarettes at age 14.
(3) I smoked a minimum average one pack a day for 24 years, from age 14, to age 38.
(4) I smoked some other 'stuff' for 23 years

(5) I have smoked cigars for the past 12 years
(6) During my life time I have had 'flu' on a minimum nine occasions & pneumonia a minimum seven occasions
(7) I did not have my first flu vaccine until age 34 & I have NEVER had a pneumonia (P-13) vaccine
(8) I typically do cardio workouts on a daily basis, maintaining a heart rate of 145 to 155 BPM during extended sessions.
(9) If I added up my smoking history from 24 years of cigarette smoking, 23 years of smoking other 'stuff' & 12 years of cigar consumption, that adds up to 59 years of REAL lung damage total, from smoking, and I am 59 years of age.
Needless to say I have experienced respiratory issues over my entire life span, including multiple upper respiratory infections that required antibiotic therapy, and on many occasion. I also welded for several years, breathing terrible & poisonous fumes & gases but it paid the bills, at a young age.
So, again, living my life while I'm here is what would be great. I don't want to sit around waiting for the gym to open in six months, or a year just because the gym is now against the law.
