post pics of the gutiars you will never sell...

Wow, the black hardware is perfect for that guitar!
Looks like something Andy would kill for.

Thanks I have became quite attatched to this one! Just put a Tone Zone T in the bridge and loving it even more. Not what you could call a traditional Tele by any means.

That P90 goldtop is awesome.

Thanks. Took me a while to buy. It was a fairly agonising decision between that and a Gibson R6 VOS, but in the end I decided this was a better guitar for me.

The others do not fall short either. All 3 are made in Japan in the Yamaha custom shop (except for the neck on the Pacifica 904, which was made by Warmoth especially for Yamaha).

My old '84/'85 Carvin (ordered late '84, received first week of '85) & my USA Steinberger.

Both have very low action... I think right now the way the Carvin is set up it has even lower action than the Steinberger, maybe the lowest action of any guitar I've ever played other than an early '70s Les Paul goldtop a friend of mine has.

I like your Steinberger! I am starting to really want to try something totally different then what i have and something like that would fit the bill nicely.

It's a nice guitar. Very low action, and once new strings stretch out, it never goes out of tune (I don't use the whammy, I always have the bridge in the 'locked' position). Good guitar to have if you sit at the computer and plink around at the same time. You don't have to worry about the headstock hitting anything.

Only thing I don't care for is the 25.5" scale length, as I have short stubby fingers. I prefer Les Paul scaled guitars, 24.75 / 24.5. I see Moses (the original neck on it is a Moses) makes replacement 24.75" scale necks for them now, I may get one, I'm just afraid of screwing something up and having it not play well like it does now :embarrassed:

Well good to know that it has the 25.5" scale! That is what I prefer myself and am most comfortable with.

This is 1 of 2 Strats I'd not easily part with. It's a 2008 American Standard with CS Fat '50s pickups, blender pot wiring and a Fender brown tort guard. Not only does it play great, but it has killer tone. I keep it strung with D'Addario 10 gauge Chromes.

@Krash, really? Not the butterscotch tele?

That's certainly one of my nicer, more expensive guitars. But honestly I don't play it as often as the sunburst Tele Special. I haven't really developed a specific attachment to that particular guitar like I have with the ones above. As a result I feel like I could always sell it and pick up another one later.

Crazy but it's true.

Never say never, BUT, I will probably never sell this Tacoma DR12, because It has the dreaded Tacoma finish bubbling, and I'd likely be able to get very little for it. It is also a cannon!

I'll also never sell this Route 10. It's got upgraded pickups and is a very light, serviceable strat clone, that I've had since 2000 and is practically worthless to anybody else:

Finally, I'll never sell my Schecter PT, because it's truly a "desert Island" electric. It is simply the most versatile electric guitar I've ever plugged in:

This may surprise some who are familiar with my 'work'.......(the guitar, not the cat biting the fish)...I bought this (then slightly used) MIM Fender telecaster about eleven years ago from a private party ebay auction out of NYC for $300. It's long since received a new neck from Allparts, Klusen tuners, tort pickguard, and changed-out pickups. You could regard it as the 'anti-Backlund' guitar...blocky, simple, utilitarian and plain, almost the definative telecaster, but I love the damn thing and it will never be sold in my lifetime. It is my #1, as far as that notion can be applied to me as a player.
