Played my first round of golf today

I have “played” for years but maybe 1-2 x a year and always terrible I am erratic, slice like crazy and short game? But my wife and I are empty nesters and we need something to do together, so she is a complete novice, I am thinking of going the Golftec route to finally get a little more serious, get fitted for proper clubs and get my wife started on lessons.

do it!!
i've found that it's a little less irritating when i make mistakes if i just forget about the score card.
you don't HAVE to keep score. you can just take one swing at a time and if it's not a good one, then move on to the next swing.

Can't speak for fitted clubs but lessons have made a massive difference. I've had 7 and he pulls video at the end of it, the difference in my swing even between the first and the 3rd lesson was night and day.

I went that route with Golf Tec, and it's well worth the money. Especially when it comes to practice time, since you can watch back your swing to see where your issues are. And the instructors are top notch.

back to -1 after 16th
still -1 after 18.

unfortunately, -6 is leading right now.
and DJ is at -2 on the 9th right now.

there's still friday, saturday and sunday yet, but it's still a super human task to be where he's at today.
many thought he'd never play pro golf again....let alone be in contention at the Masters

Ugh, Tiger's round today is not going well. I wonder if the leg is giving him hell, trying to walk that course again today.

made it.....by 2.
now tomorrow he needs to get his shit back together
i get that he's not going to win this one.
but he needs to not look like he's too broken down to be competitive.

Well, Tiger really faded on the weekend. Disappointing but understandable.

Scheffler made Sunday boring by being so far ahead. That guy is on fire.

Tiger walking off the 18th, he was limping like hell. but he proved to himself that he could make the cut and finish the tourney.
my guess is that he shows up to a few tourneys over the next couple months, just to appear and talk to the guys, etc.
all the while getting himself in shape for the US Open in mid june. IMO.
