Pets of Wein

I've learned that this facial expression means "I'm about to bite this guy's butthole in an attempt to get him to play with me"

(for the curious, it does indeed seem to work to get him to play with her)

Dog stole my move!

It was a loooooong day in work yesterday on account of it being our prom.

Out of the house at half 7 in the morning. Got home about quarter past 11 at night. Lola was already in bed and I was out sharp this morning again so fed her and was away

When I got in from work today she charged out of the back to see me and did a little excitement pee out on the patio

Update to our Honorary Kittie Guest…. We drove “Grey” 4 1/2 hours south where he was welcomed into the Erdman household as “Admiral Grey Sapphire Turkey Sandwich Erdman” which I found hilarious.

But then a week and a half later, I get some messages from my post on the local Facebook Lost and Found pet page. I grilled them on their location (close to our neighbourhood), and the dates lined up… and then they sent this pic from when he was a kitten and I thought “well, yep. That’s their cat.”

Cemented even more with current pics.

I felt like I was breaking my friend’s daughter’s heart, but we all agreed it’s the right thing, so he’s bringing “Coco” (his original name) back up here tomorrow to return home.

Yeah @PunkKitty, part of me is sad for my friends who adopted the kitty, but they made me feel better when they said that he has been a bit of a “basement monster”. He’s friendly with the other cats that would come down to use the littler box and eat, but even when they would carry Grey upstairs for a bit, the two dogs freaked him out so much that he would soon bug out back to the basement.

So ultimately, I want the kitty to be healthy and happy, so coming back up here to my neighbors is the best thing.

I did send my friends a (half joking/half serious) text that if they didn’t want to return home empty handed, the no kill adoption organisation I support up here, Here Kitty Kitty Rescue just posted these two cuties!

Then I said “If I won the lottery, there would be signs. Guitars and Kitties as far as the eye can see!” :helper:

Mrs JBJ noticed a lump on Lola's leg yesterday. 90% convinced it's nothing, all googling points to it being a fatty deposit from her age, being slightly overweight and lying on hard surfaces - she has 4 or 5 beds dotted around the house but has decided her fave spot is behind the £4k Italian leather recliner in the living ving room she's slowly scratching to bits.

She's in day care tomorrow so visit to vets on Tuesday just to be sure.

Mrs jbj was out yesterday so I had her all day. Big long walk in the afternoon interspersed with a few pub pit stops. Last walk of the night on our local park we could hear the P!no gig (from 6km away!) so I sat and listened with a little social lubricant while she had the run of 4 football pitches to herself.

Lola's 7th birthday tomorrow so she's officially a "mature" doggy.

We've spent the week with her running around a big garden in a rented cottage in England and I currently have 2 inch thick steaks doing their thing in the sous vide for dinner tomorrow.

Not sure her junkie ex owner would have gone to the trouble :embarrassed:

Lola's 7th birthday, a story

Sleep in because I've had a long week on holiday, mostly sleeping in
Sit watching dad graft in the garden most of the day.
Trip to the dump to dispose of garden waste.
Big walk
Jump into the pub with dad
Dad shared pub crisps
Walk to another pub
More pub crisps, whole packet to myself this time
Full park to myself, no arsehole dogs to annoy me
Steak for dinner
Cabbaged watching dad drink wine

Me and the Boys watching TV last night….

Whoah.... just realized how weirdly fish-eye the pic is... I had to zoom all the way out to get Jack (L) and Quinn (R) into the pic... but it makes coffee table all wonky and the 75" TV look like a tiny little rectangle in the middle of the pic. :lmbo:
