Born and living in the South all my life with the exception of 10 years in the military, I never understood the love for the confederate statues. Some act like removing them is taking their white away and I just don't get it. If you live here you see and hear this in the news every single day. Crazy fuckers buying land near I-95 so they can hang huge confederate flags. Protests about deleting history and it's nuts. One that was deemed fine in our Commonwealth's capital was the establishment of the Lumkin's Slave Jail memorial better known as Hell's Half Acre for its extremely brutal participation in Richmond's slave trade. There was also talk at one time of establishing a memorial or the area in Richmond where Slaves were sold at auction. I never followed what happened to it. My opinion is that I don't give fuck about either. I know about both and the people involved and no statue or memorial taught me a damn thing about either.

What veteran's benefits? If they're going cut paying NASCAR, the NFL and any other organization for putting on shows to make it look like those people give a shit about veterans then please, by all mean, stop paying for that shit.

Being white and pretending that it makes them superior is all some of these people have. It’s no different than Christians who use their religion to bring down others. They’re poor, they’re stupid, they contribute nothing of value to humanity, and they know the world would be a better place without them in it. But at least they’re white.

and....they have the support of the cheeto in chief, congress.....and likely soon, SCOTUS......that's a lot of support.
and the ones pulling the strings (Koch, etc.) are not poor, and they're not stupid, and they own half of america.

See, this correct. There is money and a lot of it is old money and a lot of them are in the public and they swim around being seen but not seen and that's some scary shit.
 
This will be happening nationwide in a few years. The details of Trump's Russia connections will come out, the GOP will do nothing, 2018 elections will be rigged in every GOP controlled state, and then they'll start twisting the screws.

And how is this not discrimination of a group of people based on their political affiliation? Isn't that kind of thing a clear violation of the 14th ammenmendt of the Constitution? You know, the boner inducing document loved by all Republicans.
